Job Summary:

The VIC & Studio Services assists with the achievement of store goals by focusing on personal sales goals, providing excellent customer service and supporting the Store Manager with fostering client development for the store. This role is responsible for representing and supporting the brand and values.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

VIC Coordinator

  • Foster client development: Collaborate with all associates to strengthen relationships with known VIC and Studio clients
  • Build client relationships in creative ways (outreach, going to events, local networking, referrals from current customers, etc.)
  • Drive sales and growth by enhancing the customer experience
  • Optimize each step of sales process ensuring all clients receive highest degree of sophisticated and enjoyable service as possible
  • Work closely with Buyer & Merchandiser during markets to curate a selection that will complement our clientele and ensure higher sell-throughs
  • Assist with pre-sale orders from Runway shows and other special orders
  • Product knowledge expert and fluent in fashion history and trends

Studio Services

  • Act as the brand ambassador for boutique and be the liaison between Marni, stylists and their clients
  • Collaborate with Area Manager & Store Manager to propose ideas for events to engage clients and enhance the customer experience
  • Promote brand visibility (both locally and digitally) by getting Marni on the right people
  • Assist wardrobe departments from film and television studios to assist in styling and product placement
  • Fluent in collection assortments to know what can be offered to fulfill stylists evolving needs
  • Oversee outgoing/incoming studio consignments, returns, invoicing and payments
  • Prepare and deliver weekly prospect and progress reports to management

Sales

  • Assist in the achievement of store goals
  • Achieve personal sales and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals as assigned by the Store Manager
  • Conduct market & competitor research to provide Store Manager with feedback to include in monthly business strategy action plans

Customer Service

  • Strong customer service skills to provide courteous and precise customer satisfaction
  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking and prioritizing capabilities
  • Follow-up with clients through telephone calls, letters, cards and special announcements keep book of clients including sales records, records of all client preferences, colors, sizes and styles as well as records of clients' life events (birthdates, etc.)
  • Align with style and qualitative standards of the Brand throughout Sales and post-sale process.
  • Take full advantage of all contacts with customers in the Store and promote both the Brand and Product
  • Collaborate with other colleagues to achieve business objectives
  • Schedule client appointments and pull merchandise for clients in advance of appointments
  • Ensure customer loyalty by collecting customer information and entering it into the database, thus building an extremely valuable clientele base that consists of high profile, international, professional and loyal customers

Operations

  • Support the store manager to ensure the accuracy in all POS transactions along with cash handling and banking procedures
  • Responsible for supporting the Store Manager with completing opening and closing procedures per the Company Standards when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized store to create a comfortable shopping experience
  • Ensure that back of house areas are clean and stock is well maintained
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of store sales goals
  • Provide best individual performance in line with customer service, visual merchandising, merchandising guidelines and standards
  • Perform operational and any other duties as requested by the VP of Retail or management
  • Participate in the inventory process

Merchandising

  • Maintain and update product knowledge using all available product information tools
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the fashion industry and market trends
  • Communicate product needs to department head/management
  • Communicate product quality issues to department head/management as necessary
  • Replenish products as requested by the department head/store management or when needed
  • Be aware of any back stock and product inventory levels
  • Maintain visual merchandising criteria and quantities per Company standards and guidelines
  • Make sure that product is accurately coded, tagged and priced
  • Provide store management with appropriate feedback

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential

functions of this job:

  • Required to stand and walk for up to eight hours in a workday.
  • Required to lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to be able to engage in the following activities: Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, grasping, pinching, reaching/lifting above shoulders in a repetitive manner; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and work with cleaning solutions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Previous retail customer service experience in luxury market.
  • Previous client book preferred.
  • Previous keyholder experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer services skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in luxury / high-end clienteling environment.
  • Proven sales track record and achievement of sales goals.
  • 4+ years in premium / luxury commission
