This position will require extensive travel throughout the state working with the clinical departments in our facilities. The overall purpose of the Director of Quality Assurance Risk Management position is:
Implementation of a comprehensive Risk Management program encompassing
orientation
continuing education guidelines
safety awareness program
evaluation of Resident quality of care to include
audit of clinical documents and subsequent synopsis of care rendered (protected by attorney-client privilege)
conduct in-services and continuing education seminars
provide investigative support for Compliance calls (protected by attorney-client privilege and works directly with General Counsel)
management of HIPAA Compliance Program.
Requirements
A current and valid Texas-specific Registered Nurse license is required
Must have knowledge of and ability to implement Risk Management and Safety Awareness Programs for both resident and employee populations.
Ability to manage all forms of communications
Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language.
Must have knowledge of the current State and Federal regulations for nursing facilities in long term care.
Must be able to create and maintain a helpful, understanding and empathetic atmosphere toward the residents and employees.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment, make decisions and follow-through on them.
Minimum of 3 years of management in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
