POSITION SUMMARY:
The Collections Account Coordinator must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, listening, and time
managem! ent skills. This person will coordinate and execute in-bound collections in a fast paced environment, and will be
primarily responsible for problem analysis/resolution and providing excellent customer service.
DUTIES
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and generate outgoing collection notices to owners via internal or third party vendor mailings.
- Addresses all internal and external collection-related issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Receives all mail and e-mail correspondence and issues written response in a timely manner.
- Works all collection-related work queues, requests, documents, escalations, and issues in a timely manner or troubleshoots
- Issues and/or reviews all collection-related legal and non-legal documents for associations eligible for processing
- Updates accounting systems for address change requests received via e-mail or return mail.
- Serves as backup for all in-bound calls (second-line to FirstService Residential call center agents) relating to property
- Makes all appropriate notations in accounting systems pertaining to payment plans, settlements, closings, payments,
- Completes, reviews, and files database merges ("mail merge") from accounting source systems and internally-created
- Consistently adheres to business procedure guidelines.
- Demonstrates flexibility and has the ability to work on multiple tasks.
- Maintains daily log, records and forms.
- Resolves and follows-up on all internal and external issues.
- Maintains the highest level of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
Education/Training:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Advanced classes in business or related field a plus. Collections experience a plus.
Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum of two (2) years of customer service /phone/data entry experience required. Computer literacy: well-developed computer skills with a high level of accuracy required. Must be a problem-solve! r. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent telepho! ne manner with clear, concise and professional communication skills in English required.
Special Requirements:
Ability to lift 20 - 35 lbs; Work in a sitting position for long periods of time; Reach with hands and arms; Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word; Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions; Complete all required forms. Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required.

- Frequent need (66% to 100%of time) to communicate over telephone and in person with vendors, corporate and resident staff, residents and prospects.
- Constant need (66% to 100% of time) to verbally communicate with home owners, vendors, and staff.

- Tracks payment plans and records notes as appropriate on owners' accounts.
- Sets up ACH information for owners related to payment plans and updates banking records as directed by
- Updates accounting systems for address change requests received via e-mail or return mail.
- Serves as backup for all in-bound calls (second-line to FirstService Residential call center agents) relating to property
