Under direct supervision of the Bankruptcy Manager, the Customer Service Specialist, Bankruptcy perform! s recovery efforts to minimize losses on accounts that are protected and have filed. This team member has contact with customers, attorneys, trustees, insurance agents, government agents and other outside agencies.

Essential Functions:
Take all inbound bankruptcy payment related customer service calls on a daily basis. Properly document all account activity in the computer system. Assist customers with requests, questions and problems regarding any voluntary payment offered by the customer, payoff quotes on modified or non-modified bankruptcy accounts and any issues regarding monthly statements and/or pay histories. Responsible for meeting Quality Assurance guidelines during verbal conversations and/or Live Chat conversations.

Other Functions:
Special projects as requested Performs other duties as assigned May assist in other related departments as required by business need.

Required Skills

Requirements:
H! igh school diploma or equivalent. Six (6) months general offic! e experience or equivalent education/training required. Previous collections experience preferred, automobile collections desired. Maintain understanding of loss prevention and collection policies and procedures and be familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Accurate typing and data entry skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to promote a cooperative team environment and provide good customer service. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform duties described above. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Working Conditions:
Overtime work may be required throughout the year Shifts and/or schedules may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs
