Responsible for the administration of a portfolio of complex loan facilities consisting of optionally priced, syndicated, and participated credits to ensure bank records are accurate and activiti! es are processed timely to protect revenue, mitigate losses and risks to the bank. Manage relationships with partner banks to prevent reputational risk. Analyze pricing and re-pricing requests of optionally priced loans against the terms of the credit agreement to ensure compliance. Read and interpret complex legal loan documentation and serve as relationship representative on behalf of the Bank with all partner banks.
Closing Duties
- Review and approve loan package and authorize loan funding according to federal requirements and ensure compliance with Loan Policy.
- Verify lending limits of Lending Officers and confirm proper authorization of loans and waiver of exceptions are provided adequately and efficiently.
- Review loan documents according to Commercial Loan Application to guarantee completeness of information, fees and additionally required documentation are obtained and proper legal compliance requirements have been followed to s! ecure the bankâs interest.
- Prepare all checklists a! pplicable to the loan structure (i.e. Borrowing entity checklist for each entity involved, Loan Documentation checklist or Real Estate checklist for specific collateral etc.).
- Work with lenders, attorney and Title Company to coordinate closing with customer and time
- Assist lending personnel, closers and customers in operational issues by analyzing the problem taking the necessary actions to obtain resolution.
- Evaluate and coordinate the setting of priority of loan packages to be booked/funded, reviewed and closed within the required deadline.
- Prepare UCCs in iLien and transmit to be recorded once loan documentation has been executed.
- Set up historical UCCâs in iLien to be transmitted for archive for instruments recorded by other parties.
- Confirm all required coding and risk management is present.
- Coordinate applicable funding with partner banks to ensure funding occurs as ag! reed. Create and decision accurate notices and fund subsequent loan advances in accordance with terms of credit agreement. Ensure funding entries are balanced, authorized and forwarded to Loan Operations for input to the Loan Source System.
- Monitor all incoming notices from partner banks and prepare notices as applicable. Prepare and forward the applicable input form to Loan Operations to ensure proper financial reporting of bank assets
- Calculate, collect & apply break funding fees as applicable for early repayment of any optionally priced tranches.
- Manually calculate and prepare bills for related fees (i.e. â" unused commitment fees, annual administrative fees etc.) monitor the collection of the fees and ensure they are posted to the Loan Source System accordingly for proper reporting of bank income.
- Manually notify partner banks of all internal pricing changes and analyze incoming pricing changes from partner banks - ensure that the Lo! an Source System is updated accordingly per the terms of the Credit Agr! eement.
- Interact with lending staff and serve as relationship representative on behalf of the Bank with all partner banks to identify and resolve issues.
- Prioritize workload to meet established deadlines.
- Properly store and maintain all activity electronically, included but not limited to all information related to pricing changes, re-pricing and any required manual calculations.
- Ability to identify risk issues, workload issues, and/or concerns and escalate to supervisor/manager as applicable.
- Complete projects, research and any other duties that may be assigned within designated timeframes.
- Forward work according to established operating practices.
- Act as subject matter expert and transfer knowledge to co-workers as applicable.
- The candidate must be capable of working effectively with a minimum level of supervision.
- Must be highly organized with the ability t! o manage a variety of tasks.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple aspects and communicate risk impacts.
- Education â" Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred but related job and industry experience is accepted as a substitute. (5+ years experience preferred.)
- Due to the required attention to detail, candidate must be meticulous in nature. Executing test cases is very demanding. Focus oriented skills are necessary. The candidatesâ experience background should suggest this.
- Must be familiar with commercial loan structure and credit policy.
- Must be familiar with commercial credit and collateral documentation.
- Must be familiar with Jack Henry system or the willingness to learn the system.
- General accounting knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the aptitude to learn other programs as required.
- Individual must have excellent communication/collaborati! ons skills.
- Must be able to clearly communicate/articulate, both orally and in writing.
