The Field Operations Manager (FOM) is responsible for leading all In-Home field operational execution and process adherence in a Te! rritory Market. The Field Operations Manager (FOM) is directly responsible for the analysis and oversight of key business performance indicators of 3 - 4 In-Home Districts with multiple unit locations within each district - for the purpose of driving improved performance in support of stated Customer Service and EBITDA goals. To support these goals the FOM serves as the Territory's Executive Agent for key P&L Expense Lines, Parts Inventory Management, Asset and Resource Management, Compliance to Regulatory and Corporate Statutes and Guidelines, Safety, Fleet Management, and Customer-facing metrics.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides root cause analysis and problem solutions to the Territory Field Director and the District Leadership Teams concerning key P&L Expense Lines including parts Inventory, Warranty & Protection Agreement Parts Expense, Parts Distribution Expense, Variable Insurance, Expendable Supplies, Tools, Communications, Product ! Replacements, Overs and Shorts (monetary collections and depos! its), Rejected Claims, Technical Payroll and Vehicle Fleet Expenses.
  • Analyzes and reports daily, monthly and annual business performance trends (revenue, cost management, profitability, customer satisfaction, etc) and develops and/or recommends strategic solutions to improve business performance for the purpose of meeting stated Customer Satisfaction and EBITDA goals.
  • Provides financial analysis support and strategic recommendations to the Field Director and District Managers through monthly P&L line item review and analysis, bridging actual performance to Forecast and Plan; and works in conjunction with the Region Finance Manager in order to provide both accurate financial forecasts and solutions to identified shortfall areas.
  • Ensures that Customer-facing processes meet or exceed business standards, including the reduction of Reschedules, Multiple Attempts, Aging Orders and Replacements; Ensures that customer inquiries and escalations are respond! ed to urgently; Responsible for the oversight and successful resolution of all regulatory and escalated customer complaints (i.e. BBB, Attorney General, Third Party, Retail).
  • Develops Monthly Payroll Planner for Territory and District Support Personnel and ensures total hours remain within stated business goals and coordinates with Region Operations Manager concerning any variances to plan.
  • Serves as the Territory Lead for Parts Inventory management, where key responsibilities include the receipt and reverse flow management of parts inventory from Technical service vans, which are geographically dispersed throughout the Territory; Coordination with Supply Chain on truck parts assortments to improve the number of First Time Solutions; Providing direction to the Field Director and Territory leadership team on reducing overall parts expense; and Maintaining an accurate parts inventory count in all District locations within a Territory market through daily, we! ekly, and monthly analysis of key Inventory related transactions. Condu! ct monthly audits of these processes.
  • Responsible for the management of critical business assets for the Territory market, including service vans and all related equipment issued with the van, SSTs, Cellular phones, uniforms, calibrated tools, freon, credit and fuel cards, communications equipment, computers, furniture, and Technical Training Aids. Ensures incoming Technicians and associates are properly equipped with tools, supplies, and safety equipment. Coordinate with Territory leadership team to ensure all assets issued to technicians leaving the company are recovered.
INTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Leads Fleet Management for the Territory Market, where responsibilities include the strategic placement of service vans to best support the Territory market Technical Operations; Additional responsibilities include the maintenance of National Fleet Databases, ensuring all assigned service vans are in compliance to local and state laws (taxes,! registrations, inspections, fines, citations, etc), and the coordination with Repair Facilities in order to obtain the most cost effective repair solution; Performs cost benefit analysis to determine whether the van is at end of life or uneconomical to repair;
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.

  • Ability to multi task and effectively manage time.
  • Ability to be a Team Player â€" able to demonstrate a collaborative approach to team relationships with all Territory Staff and when required; other SHC Organizations.
  • Ability to be very flexible to change and be counted upon to lead change.
