In order to maintain the quality and responsiveness essential to a successful business, we are vertically-integrated, meaning we design, manufacture, market and sell our own product line. We even maintain in-house graphics and photography as well as internal architecture and furniture-making capabilities to keep the customer’s experience a special one. The strategic goals of the company include a three-prong effort of reaching and satisfying our customers through retail stores, mail order and on the internet. James Avery has five manufacturing plants. Our retail stores are located in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Missouri, Kansas and Louisiana and will number 67 retail stores by the end of 2012. The fine detailing and strong yet simple design of our stores is reflective of the same process in which our product is also crafted. We are seeking a Visual Merchandise Manager.

The Visual Merchandise Manager will manage brand execution within all stores by enchancing the presentation of James Avery products in the store environment with a comprehensive visual merchandising program. They will act as a resource, trainer and communicator of information to manage brand consistency and engage customers in a more compelling manner to increase sales.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Instigate and coordinator store display strategy. Reinforce how company goals and objectives relate to product and visual merchandising.

Remain competition and industry aware- know what industry leaders are doing and adapt learnings to influence strategies within our Brand.

Create the look and voice of this collateral - from windows, imagery, and signage - to be in-line with the Brands' positioning, customer insights, design & product strategies, and marketing initiatives.

Interpret the Brand in fresh and compelling ways while respecting the core and traditions of the Avery Brand without creating customer disconnects.

Ensure that the creative store display direction and implementation be on-strategy with the brand positioning, design & product strategies, and relevant marketing initiatives.

Analyze store merchandising plans and performance.

Set metrics to analyze success of various merchandising plans and displays and adjust strategies and display designs to achieve desired brand presentation and sales objectives.

Partners with Regional Retail Manager to identify store/market specific nuances. Develop and implement brand appropriate solutions to address these unique needs.

Build constructive, effective relationships throughout the stores and Corporate Headquarters to align support for visual merchandising and brand initiatives.

Participate in and support the success of store openings.

Coordinates merchandising efforts with the branding, merchandise management, marketing and retail teams to ensure consistency with the corporate branding and image campaigns.

Through transmitted photos and on site store visits, monitor the quality and consistency of each store’ s displays. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 7 â€" 10 years of demonstrated experience in hands on visual merchandising. Leadership experience in both the development and implementation of a specialty retail visual merchandising program in a multi-store retail environment preferred.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in marketing, visual arts or similar relevant degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience and build consensus.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals, technical procedures; Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information.

Proficient with Indexing or equivalent graphics program at a basic level; Advanced proficiency with similar graphics program is preferred.

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office components including: Email, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat as a basic level.

Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurance company standards.

Ability to pass a criminal background check that meets Company standards.

Ability to travel up to 75% of the annual work schedule to national store locations and work non-traditional business hours.

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, talk or hear one-third (1/3) of the time; Sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms two-thirds (2/3) of the time.

Ability to Lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds one-third (1/3) of the time.

ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships);

Ability to accurately perceive subtle differences of color hue, tone and texture.

Must ensure employee compliance with all safety rules and instruction.
