SUMMARY:
The Bankruptcy Associate’s primary focus is to make outbound call! s to follow up with the debtor’s attorney on the status of the reaffirmation agreement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make outbound calls to follow up on the status of reaffirmation agreements
Communicate details, surrender letter and/or reaffirmation agreement to client
Understand specific client guidelines/jurisdictional requirements
Explain the benefits of the reaffirmation agreement
Work ECM and notice box as required
Learn and effectively navigate multi client systems
Promptly determine when attorney action is required
Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors and debtors’ attorneys
Follow-up with client for missing documents
Prompt determination and proper maintenance of files to ensure the correct timeline in the bankruptcy process
Close files appropriately and timely
Ensure that NBS’ client’s interests are pr! otected and that, upon termination of stay, processes are appr! opriately and timely continued
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s preferred
Call center experience and/or Bankruptcy experience is a plus
