We are currently seeking talented Manager Bankruptcy for our San Antonio, TX facility.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Manages a team of Bankruptcy Specialists to insure adherence to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements in regards to bankruptcy laws and rules. Maintain statistical data on ! staff performance in order to provide constructive feedback as! it relates to established performance standards. Monitor and manage daily account volumes and work flows to ensure effective turnaround times on completed work outs and maximum member experience. Maintain compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
JOB DUTIES
Responsible for management of a phone unit for bankruptcy members and attorneys to educate and train members on bankruptcy policies.
Responsible for adherence based on FDIC, OCC, CFPB, and Bankruptcy Court expectations and establish effective oversight, controls and reporting.
Oversees the day-to-day bankruptcy activity for pre and post charge off suppliers ensuring that processes are fully compliant with bankruptcy court rules, and in full compliance with all regulatory guidance.
Develops employees through regular coaching and feedback that leads to improved results.
Recommends systems, technology, techniques, processes and analytical reporting improvements to achieve and sustain top! tier performance.
Introduces and implements compliance and process controls throughout the vendor oversight process. Addresses supplier compliance issues and augments training to assist in remediation.
Updates senior management on a regular basis regarding progress on projects, performance and potential risks to the business.
Ensures strong outcome for member satisfaction and U Count results.
Recommends and participates in business cases to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Responsible for managing and forecasting unit budgets and implementing expense control initiatives. Introduces multiple outsource vendors with the intent of gaining a competitive advantage through differentiating service and driving production while decreasing cost.
Ensures through regular review and testing that support and outsource strategies are compliant, efficient, cost effective and reflective of USAA's core values.
Attend industry conferences to gain best-demonstrate! d practices and share, scope and execute on identified initiatives. Minimum Requirements
5 years recent bankruptcy management experience.
3 years leadership experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
Bachelor Degree.
Past Bankruptcy Experience across multiple product lines.
Experience managing non-exempt staff.
Experience managing external legal vendors.
***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
