$16.75 - $19.54 per hour

The primary purpose of this position is to
operate one or more types of gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled
vehicles typically with a gross vehicle (GWV) of more than 26,000 and up to
32,000 pounds or capable of carrying 16 or more passengers regardless of
GVW.

Drive on public roads (or
equivalent) in a full range of traffic conditions and at highway speeds to
transport cargo and/or passengers.

Drive one or more types of buses capable of
carrying 16 or more passengers.

Drive
predetermined and/or scheduled routes or special runs.

·

Drive one or more types of heavy vehicles,
such as platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, which are typically equipped
with air brakes to transport supplies, materials, equipment, tools and
hazardous material (i.e., 1.1 - 1.5 munitions).

P! erform a complete range of delivery assignments.

Perform comprehensive quality reviews of
delivery operation programs.

Perform operator maintenance, such as
checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing of
vehicles, and performing inspection checklists to ensure safe and proper
operations.

Maintain records and
document actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident
reports.

Utilize safety practices and procedures
following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and
clean work environment.

Maintain and
store equipment and perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas

Knowledge of and skill in operating one or
more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of more
than 26,000 and up to 32,000 pounds, such as pla! tform trucks, van trucks,
trash/garbage trucks, or dump trucks.

Also includes operation of buses capable of carrying over 16 passengers.

2.

Knowledge of cargo handling and hauling and
techniques for safeguarding and protecting cargo.

Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations,
practices, and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle operation.

Knowledge of passenger safety rules including
those regarding the use of seatbelts.

3.

Ability to judge road/traffic conditions and
read maps to determine the shortest and safest route.

Reliability and dependability to meet pickup
and delivery deadlines and schedules.

4.

Ability to interpret instructions,
specifications, etc. related to motor vehicle operation, power take-off unit
operation, and preventative maintenance.

Ability to interpret and apply instructions pertaining to material
handling.
Knowledge of accepted
warehousing methods, procedures, and materi! als handling techniques.

5.

Knowledge of equipment maintenance and
storage requirements.

6.

Skill in using automated material handling
equipment.

Follow Turn-In procedures and
Pick-Up and Delivery procedures as outlined in AFMAN 23-110.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE

:

Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

:

1.

A Commercial Class A driverÂ's license with
hazardous material endorsement is required for the position.

2.

Position requires the ability to discern
colors, contrast, and depth.

3.

The employee may be required to work other
than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Shift work may be required.

5.

May operate a forklift on a non-recurring
or incidental basis.

6.

May operate a tractor-trailer on a
non-recurring or incidental basis.

7.

Will train newly assigned military and
civilian personnel on various vehicles.

8.

Employees are required to operate vehicles
on a military flight line.

9.

This is a drug testing designated position
in accordance with AFI 44-107.

Incumbent
will be subject to random testing for drug use.

Physical

Effort:
Physical effort is moderate to heavy.

Work requires reaching, turning, or moving
hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls.

Associated duties require stooping, bending,
and climbing.

Lifts and carries objects
weighing up to 40 pounds and heavier objects with assistance.

Working

Conditions:
Drivers work mostly outside and operate vehicles in all kinds of traffic and weather on public roads (or equivalent),
and are exposed to the danger of serious accidents.

Drivers are exposed to dirt, fumes, and to
the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents
when loading and unloading the vehicle.

They drive in heavy traffic and at highway speeds over complicated road
and interchange systems.
