The Branch Manager directs and manages the sales activities of the branch, ensuring that efficient customer service is provided and quality residential loans are! generated.
This person is responsible for recruiting, managing, coaching, and motivating a staff of loan officers to meet sales production goals, to assure corporate compliance, regulations, and policies and typically manages 5-12 sales direct reports. This position requires strong sales and marketing skills, excellent communication skills and detailed follow-through.
The Branch Manager needs to be organized, aggressive and able to deal with strict timelines, is expected to identify partnership opportunities and to develop strong business relationships. Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of mortgage origination experience with an emphasis on prime lending and purchase business
Proven sales experience with the ability to meet productions standards of $10 million in the past 12 months in personal production of mortgage loans
Demonstrated leadership characteristics, organizational ski! lls and experience working in an automated origination environ! ment.
Ability to direct the work of mortgage loan officers. (Including; setting and monitoring of goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection)
Demonstrated ability to hire, motivate, coach, and manage sales staff
Established relationships with referral partners (e.g., realtors, builders, attorneys, financial advisors or CPAs)
Demonstrated ability to develop a business plan and grow market share
Proven ability to analyze and review General Ledger and Profit and Loss Statements
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with builders, realtors and various affinity referral partners.
Ability to direct the work of mortgage loan officers, including setting and monitoring of goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection; may direct the work of operations staff in satellite office
Skills/Competencies:
Demonstrated verbal and written! communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners
Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing
Demonstrated customer service skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the mortgage industry and loan structuring
Preferred Skills
5+ years of retail mortgage management experience
Complete familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC, FHA/VA guidelines and understanding of all facets involved in real estate transactions
Strong ability to build relationships
Both internally and externally
Desire to assist others in reaching their career goals.
Leadership characteristics to motivate and direct a team of mortgage professionals.

Specific local market experience/knowledge a plus
BA Business degree or rela! ted experience
