Litigation Specialist

The Litigation Specialist will manage and track litigation matters, perform factual research of documentation and data to support defense litigation efforts and in response to subpoenas, and provide research sup! port for loan-level servicing disputes and servicing-related legal issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage, monitor and track litigation matters, including defense litigation, contested foreclosures and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy.
Create reports reflecting status of active litigation matters.
Work with clients and servicing systems to retrieve and provide documentation and loan-level data to outside counsel in support of defense efforts and in response to subpoenas.
Assist with processing and payment of outside counsel invoices.
Support in-house counsel on research projects regarding servicing issues and pre-litigation customer disputes.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
Paralegal Certificate desired.
Mortgage servicing and/or litigation experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with LPS or other mortgage servicing systems a plus.
Se! lf-starter with the ability to work independently and interact! professionally with attorneys and business clients.
Excellent organizational skills and good judgment a must, with the ability to create reports and processes for efficient information retrieval and clear presentation.
4 Year college degree (Bachelor or equivalent)
3+ years minimum experience
