Correspondence Spec - Clinical Services

Location: Dallas, Texas

Description: EmCare is employing Correspondence Spec - Clinical Services right now, this position will be placed in Texas. This position performs clinic services functions and essential CBO functions that fall outside of the billing or collections departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibil! ities:

  • Coordinate and process patient discharge letters, including collection accounts, send letters certified mail
  • Coordinate and process pain office ticket tracking
  • Coordinate and process demographic and insurance verification corrections
  • Coordinate and process electronic/paper submission of claims and statements, sends certified mail or via fax
  • Coordinate and process dictation and EMR information for CBO departments
  • Coordinate and process all correspondence, returned mail, fast forward and undeliverable reports
  • Coordinate and process medical record requests, bankruptcies, attorney requests, and affidavits
  • Coordinate and process scanning materials with CBO departments, Offsite clinics, and vendor
  • Coordinate and process all pain fax lines
  • Compiles and types reports
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adh! erence to and compliance with information systems security is ! everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
  • High School graduate or equivalent. Associate degree in business administration or related area preferred.
Experience:
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Must display teamwork attitude and good inter personal skills
  • Must be proficient at learning and utilizing various computer software
  • Must be proficient in using the IDX patient accounting system
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Skill in gathering and reporting information
  • At least an intermediate level in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and external customers with limited supervision
  • Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level
  • Willingness and ability to follow direction and/or company policy as directed by management
  • Must have multi-tasking capabilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
