DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Municipal Courts currently has a full time employment opportunity available for Customer Service Representatives for individuals who are self-motivated, customer service-oriented, have attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills. As an official of the Court, your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Collection of fines, processing payments by cash, check, credit card and wire transfer.
  • Data entry of payment and fees in the Court's case management system.
  • High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement.
  • Dissemination of court information as required.
  • Data entry of court records and transactions.
  • Scanning of court! documents into the Court's case management system.
  • P! eriodic rotation to alternate Court locations and/or sections.
  • Other administrative and customer service related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must submit to annual background checks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office setting. May require long periods of standing or sitting at the Counter. Must be able to work any day, shift, weekends and/or holidays as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Six (6) months of administrative or customer service related experience is required.

MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
None

**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications ne! cessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**

Preferences shall be given to candidates that are:
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Customer service experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Prior court, legal or paralegal experience as well as knowledge of court policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook)
GENERAL INFORMATION:
SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED
Department may administer skills assessment test.

SALARY INFORMATION
Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's q! ualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this class! ification. The salary range is:
