Our client, a major Dallas-based financial service organization, is currently seeking candidates for a contract to hire SQL SERVER DBA role. This job will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible ! for supporting MS SQL Servers in ensuring their high performance, process optimization, solution development, problem resolution, availability and security · Responsible for ensuring high availability and performance of SQL Server. Work to ensure SQL Server and its related components high resilience and provide performance tuning.
To proactively monitor and resolve issues with various SQL Server components/subsystems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
Responsible for troubleshooting and problem resolution of SQL Server related development.
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of SQL Server infrastructure that includes migration/upgrades.
Responsible for implementation and release of ongoing database changes according to agreed timeframes and costs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, CIS/BCIS or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years professional experience ! in MS SQL Server Database Administration tools and technologie! s with at least 2 years of experience in MS SQL 2008.
Excellent logic and strong SQL Server overall problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge/experience in SQL Server RDBMS, security, and performance tuning.
Strong T-SQL stored procedures skill.
Experience with SSIS, Reporting Services, Sharepoint Server, SQL Server Replication, and high availability systems a plus.
MCDBA certification a plus.
Demonstrated experience with MS Windows Server 2008, MS SCCM 2007, and Windows 7 is desired.Interested/qualified candidates should respond asap for immediate consideration.
