Job Description:
- To support the fiber network at all times both for deployment purposes as well as during maintenances and fault conditions
- Support site surveys where needed for deployment purposes
- Installs, troubleshoots and maintains an extensive variety of products and equipment
- To be on-call (24x7) on a rotation basis in order to be ready to tackle network problems outside working hours
- Regular check-ups and maintenance of all the Fiber cable installations
- Maintain the fiber (optics) infrastructures in good working condition at all times and responsible to update deployment progress sheets
- Install fiber optic cables and telecommunication copper cables
- To act on assigned open tickets and work in collaboration with senior engineers in order to maintain maximum customer satisfaction
- Use knowledge and abilities in furthering and promoting the best interests of the company
- To travel to other locations of the Company or other offices, inland or abroad, as required by the above assignments
- Any other duties, tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned and/or amended by the management
Accountable to: OPN Manager
General requirements:
- Technical or high level diploma relevant to any field of engineering
- Work experience of two years and over
- Technical engineering and computing knowledge
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills and technical aptitude
- Valid Driver’s License
- Should posses good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks depending upon the emergency situations
- Sound ability to diagnose problems with existing equipment and fixing them is also essential
