The position will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, monitoring and controlling costs and budgets, tracking commitments both internal as well as 3rd party consultants and contractors, preparing budgets and performing financial sensitivity analysis where appropriate, ensuring key internal control processes are being adhered to / information is accurate and communicated to leaders on a timely basis, and developing working relationships with internal customers to understand their core businesses.

The Financial Analyst role will be part of the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Finance team which supports the ideation, design, production, and construction of projects within the WDI organization through the development of critical planning processes, such as the Annual Operating Plan and long range plan. This position partners i.n several key business areas with responsibilities including (but not limited to):

  • Develop and coordinate key financial processes (Annual Operating Plan and Forecasts, long range plan)

  • Responsible for analyzing actual financial results and/or prospective new business proposals

  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports using a variety of systems and applications

  • Build financial models and other spreadsheet tools to analyze key performance indicators, develop budgets, project cash flow forecasts, and perform ad hoc analyses.

Role Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years years of finance experience

  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and with multiple disciplines

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Thorough knowledge of how accounting entries affect income statement, balance sheet, and other financial reports

  • Possesses an understanding of financial controls (e.g., budgeting, forecasting)

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment with spreadsheets, databases and presentation software

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work in a flexible team environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and multiple functional disciplines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop DCF analyses.

  • Prior Walt Disney Company, entertainment, attractions, construction, real estate, or manufacturing industry experience highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' FP&A work/internship experience highly preferred

  • Experience with SAP and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI/Tableau highly preferred

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent


The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $84,600.00-$103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
