The role you’ll contribute:

The Vendor Management Analyst supports the operations of the Process Improvement (PI) and Business Support team by managing Revenue Cycle vendors to ensure standardization and rationalization of vendors across both Acute operations and Physician Enterprise. The Vendor Management Analyst will be responsible for project managing the onboarding of new vendors (including technical and process components), ensuring vendor requirements are met, and ongoing tracking of vendor performance and vendor-related expenses, making sure service level agreements (SLAs) are met while improving performance and optimizing cost. This role involves extensive research, analysis, and evaluation of current and new vendors based on AdventHealth operational needs and industry best practices. In addition to managing relationships with vendors, this role involves extensive collaboration with AdventHealth regional directors, Revenue Cycle functional area leaders, and other PI and Business Support teams. The Vendor Management Analyst will adhere to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance standards, as well as rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

  • Works with Revenue Cycle vendors to ensure standardization and optimization of vendor scope, management processes, and fees across both Acute operations and Physician Enterprise
  • Tracks vendor-related expenses across the enterprise and identifies vendor rationalization opportunities including contract consolidation and/or renegotiation to improve cost efficiency as well as operational standardization across the organization
  • Ensures timely and accurate billing of vendor services
  • Responsible for ongoing auditing and monitoring of existing vendors for quality, reliability and performance relative to SLAs set by Revenue Cycle leadership; reviews, tests, and analyzes vendor files/data/ reports to identify trends or issues, and relays findings and recommended action plan with the Manager of Vendor Management
  • Serves as a point of contact for AdventHealth during new vendor onboarding, connecting the vendor with the AdventHealth stakeholders needed for set up, e.g., with AdventHealth IT (AIT) to set up vendor connections
  • Monitors ongoing operational issues with vendors and coordinates with the IT team to ensure timely and accurate resolution; conducts follow ups on any outstanding issues
  • Supports regional directors in holding Revenue Cycle vendors accountable to pre-established SLAs, escalating and remediating instances where SLAs are not consistently met
  • Collaborates with Revenue Cycle leaders to identify opportunities for vendor usage to cost-effectively address pain points and priorities for each Revenue Cycle functional area while simultaneously optimizing patient satisfaction
  • Researches, analyzes, and evaluates Revenue Cycle vendors, and develops criteria and best practices for vendor selection based on current market trends and input received from Revenue Cycle functional area leaders
  • Collaborates with the legal team to support the contract management process (evaluation of vendor proposals, comparison analysis, etc.)
  • Collaborates with the Automation team to support the exploration of new automation vendor opportunities in the market


Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed
:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Project Management or related field OR four (4) years related experience
  • Two (2) or more years of progressive work experience managing vendors or projects with related experience
  • HFMA Certification such as Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), and/or Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Broad understanding and experience within hospital and physician operations in an integrated health system
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Revenue Cycle industry and the products and services provided by technology vendors
  • Strong Business Acumen across multiple practices, including IT management, Vendor Management, Financial Management, Contracts Management and/or Operational Risk Management
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry requirements as it relates to Revenue Cycle vendors
  • Working knowledge of managing IT vendors or projects
