JOB RESPONSIBILITES
As an Eligibility Specialist, you’ll be responsible for maintaining eligibility for one of our biggest national clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Enter individual eligibility information into carrier portal, including new enrollments, changes & terminations
- Find assigned groups for processing using the manual changes database
- Resolve issues by working with the ticketing system
- Support a range of processes related to eligibility, including indexing, sending large mail outs for new clients or open enrollment, maintaining records of correspondence & reports, preparing departmental reports & more
- Ensure positive customer experiences, both externally & internally
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (NOBODY'S PERFECT BUT EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS)
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office & internet browsers
- Knowledge of business correspondence, filing and general office procedures.
- Knowledge of eligibility, billing, premium collection guidelines for various fully insured products and to effectively communicate these provisions to clients and other departments.
- Knowledge of the Benefits Connect eligibility, billing, premium and commission files or theability to learn quickly.
- Skill in strong interpersonal and written communication.
- Skill in critical thinking.
- Ability to strive for accuracy.
- Ability to accurately compile data and perform detailed work
- Ability to effectively communicate plan provisions to clients and other departments.
- Ability to analyze detailed information.
