The Technician’s primary focus is sorting, scan! ning, indexing and matching medical bill data and workers’ compensation forms and correspondence into the document imaging software.

Required Skills

Sort and prepare medical bills and incoming mail for scanning into worker’s compensation software (GenIRIS) according to state regulated timeline and team quality and productivity standards

Batch, file and sort medical bills according to account

Enter DWC forms and claims correspondence for electronic formatting

Index prepared and scanned documents to the appropriate adjuster

Maintain DWC metrics data as determined by client specific contracts

Report production and quality metrics to supervisor

Assist with quality auditing and reporting

Assist with special projects as required

Demonstrated self-management with a focus on meeting and/or exceeding goals through measurable results

Effectively creates and follows-through with a pl! an or task without prompting direction from others

Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

6 months to 1 year experience data entry experience; 10,000 keystrokes per hour with minimal errors

Well organized with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks within a given time frame

Ability to operate office equipment such as scanner, copier and FAX

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently, with flexibility regarding interr! uptions and changing priorities

Must have close vision (clear ! vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
