Educational Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree with zero years experience required. One year of experience in research for a particular field involved with a grant or project would be helpful. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature and Purpose of Position: Assist attorney with managing office calendar/schedule, budget and! payment systems, as well as the flow of sensitive, confidenti! al legal information.
Primary Responsibilities: Manages department purchasing and budget. Assists with appropriate assessment instruments, devises surveys/questionnaires, collects data and prepares assessment reports. Assists with planning department marketing and promotion. Interacts with student clients. May conduct initial client intake interviews and perform basic legal research. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be experienced with basic computer programs for e-mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing. May be required to stand for several hours at a time interacting with the public and transporting and setting up of promotional materials. Knowledge of SHSU policies and procedures for budgeting and purchasing is a plus. This is a part time, 20 hour per week, benefits eligible position.
