The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Developer Analyst, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general qualifications of ITSAC Developer Analyst 3 Category, Legacy Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Office of the Attorney General (OAG).
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire†and are the property of the OAG. OAG may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. OAG will pay no fees for inter! views or discussions, which occur during the process of select! ing a Worker(s).
Responsibilities
The Worker analyzes, designs, develops, and implements computer applications using mainframe and web-based technologies following a structured application development methodology. The Worker is responsible for analyzing the integration, conversion and cross platform interfaces for the TXCSES 2.0 project. Work may involve reviewing legacy Natural code, acting as a project lead and providing subject matter expertise and guidance on the TXCSES 1.0 application. The Worker assists vendor staff in developing design approaches and Natural code design deliverables. Reviews the designs and code created by vendor staff on the TXCSES 2.0 project. Provides TXCSES 1.0 Natural design and development support of the legacy system. This position may perform after-hour on-call system support. Work is accomplished in a highly collaborative environment and independently with a focus on quality and customer service.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
8 Experience in programming and system design and analysis using NATURAL programming language.
8 Experience using Treehouse N2O change management system
8 Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
8 Extensive knowledge and experience in software design and analysis
8 Extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy.
8 Extensive skill in effective verbal and written communications with other computer professionals and clients.
8 Ability to analyze, problem solve, learn new technologies quickly, multitask and meet aggressive deadlines
8 Ability to work independently or in a team environment and maintain effective and professional working relationships
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
Working knowledge and previous experience in maintenance and support of the T! exas Child Support Enforcement System (TXCSES).
III. TERM OF S! ERVICE
January 1, 2014 to August 31, 2014; 1350 estimated hours for this Contract Position
Service shall commence approximately when PO is issued and shall be completed by 8/31/14. This service may be amended, renewed and/or extended providing DIR Staff, OAG, and Vendor agree in writing to do so. If the OAG determines that particular Vendor personnel are not needed based on changes in circumstance, funding or business need, then the OAG may notify the vendor in writing or via e-mail and cause removal of personnel with ten (10) business days prior notice. In this event, no Vendor substitutions may be submitted.
IV. WORK LOCATION
The primary work location(s) will be at 5500 Oltorf, Austin, Texas 78741. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Worker’s and/or Vendor’s expense.
