Responsible for the management and administration of customer and other contracts, which includes the credit and collection policies.
Manage reporting the condition of receivable on a timely basis.
Contribute to the sales and profitability of the company through a collaborative and positive relationship with sales staff, ensure maximum benefits are realized in promoting customer services efficiency and department productivity.
Responsibilities:
Review, approve and sign all contracts, subcontracts, and bid documents.
Work with General Contractor, End User, and Sales staff on problems.
Assure application for payment documentation is made monthly according to contracts.
Includes all AIA documents completed throughout project, monitoring other credit staff’s submittals, and working with billing department to ensure correct dollar amounts billed against AIA applications to ensure prompt payment.
Analyze and approve credit lines per corporate credit department guidelines.
Monitor lien due dates from Credit Analyst’s monthly list to insure dates are not missed.
Includes pre-lien process and having vast knowledge of Mechanics Lien processes.
Present oneself as a knowledgeable professional to the internal and external customer.
Daily review of collection activity including customer service, billing, and account issues as pertains to the contract.
Approval, follow up and tracking of all bonds requested.
Preparation of monthly A/R reports.
Determine collection status of accounts and whether to use collection agency or attorney.
Includes monitoring agency’s percentages.
Deal with customers regarding their credit line and any needed down payments when they refuse to deal with other credit staff.
Ability to Train staff in all departments on credit policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma / GED required.
Paralegal training/experience required.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Mechanics Lien process, UCC filings, and good understanding of all commercial credit laws.
Demonstrated ability to act in a professional demeanor with customers and fellow employees
Demonstrated ability to possess excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability of mathematics, specifically fractions, measurements, and reading a ruler.
Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and oral
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and have a minimum of five years experience.
Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written reports and documentation
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to possess strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to possess strong negotiating skills
Learn all pertinent Winbid modules
Knowledge of legal contracts, agreements and settlement procedures and documentation.
Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and tends in area of expertise.
Ability to create, compose and edit legal documents.
Ability to recognize issues and problems and follow through to resolution.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
Associates degree preferred.
