Description
Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the Loan Closer is to prepare the legal documents for settlement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review documents obtained from the settlement agent/attorney for accuracy
- Enter loan information accurately into the loan processing system, then print/email loan documents
- Close loans according to company, investor, federal and local requirements
- Review documents and fix any problems and/or errors prior to releasing documents to closing agent
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from affiliates and handle in a professional manner
- Ensure that the Closing Agent receives the loan package prior to the scheduled settlement date, so final documents can be prepared for a timely settlement
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 6 months experience in a financial industry
- 2 years mortgage banking experience
- Prior closing/processing experience with all types of mortgage loans to include Bonds and Construction-Perm and Coop loans
