The Foreclosure Specialist supports the collections department in achieving delinquency and default goals by performing a variety of legal, administrative and collections rela! ted duties through the strategic use of computer applications and processes.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Administrative duties including but not limited to such jobs as processing of loan review requests, deferrals, administering Check by Phone or Skip Trace systems, processing affidavits, loan modifications, letter requests, reimbursements, Check 21 (mailed payments) and other documents
Daily communication with attorneys to update files that are in legal process (i.e. foreclosure, writ of possession, and eviction proceedings)
M anage databases, track and file related documentation
Process and research payments
Prepare and run computer generated reports as directed
Various clerical duties as assigned
SELECTION CRITERIA
Fannie Mae experience a plus
Persuasive and professional communication skills
Detail oriented/organized style
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Knowledge of Fortracs, Excel, Word, UCSe and other colle! ctions software
Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
Post high school education preferred
CRT/data entry experience preferred
Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime
