Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld Dallas, TX Investment Funds Paralegal Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a prestigious international law firm in downtown Dallas, is seeking a full-time Inves! tment Funds Paralegal. Paralegals are assigned to work primarily on specific matters/transactions, provide general assistance to a project team of attorneys, and/or to support attorneys whose practice involves specific areas of law. Requirements include strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (experience with creating structure charts in PowerPoint helpful); familiarity with Adobe professional and Adobe Acrobat; experience with investment advisor registrations at the state and federal level; knowledge and experience with Section 16 filings, Form D Notice of Exempt Offering of Securities filings, initial filings and annual filings, Edgar filings with the SEC and related agencies; strong organizational and time management skills; excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling and punctuation; ability to work independently and with a team; ability to professionally meet deadlines; ability to take initia! tive, set priorities and see projects through to completion; a! bility to multi-task. Prior experience in Investments Funds preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Legal Assistant/Paralegal certificate desirable but not required.
