Insurance Defense Attorney
As a member of our insurance defense litigation team, you will provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or to the Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. Handling your own cases from beginning to end, you will also prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements. You will work closely with our customers and claims team to ensure all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes.
Requirements:
Juris Doctorate
Member of the TX Bar
5+ years of legal! experience including litigation and trying cases
Demonstr! ated proficiency at expert discovery
Demonstrated ability to manage diary
Excellent client/customer skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good negotiation skills
Ability to review and assess the impact of medical records, depositions and other documents
Excellent time management, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Effective as a team player and independently
Understanding of all applicable ethical duties and strong work ethic
Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn new or updated computer software and programs
Ability to learn and follow existing and new processes and procedures
Good research skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
