Land Technician II

The Land Technician is a Houston based position and reports to the Land Manager of the Southern Division with SandRidge Energy. It is a paraprofessional role working with Landmen to achieve the business goals of the o! rganization by providing quality Land services and products. The Technician's work has a broad range of duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Review and coordinate payment of all invoices supporting the offshore land function
Coordinate and gain authorization for payment (AFE's)
Process oil and gas leases into the Land systems
Process and coordinate Lease Bonus payments and other contractual obligations
Support land staff with needs in respect to deal delivery and contract maintenance, titles clearance
Coordinate contracts for engagement of brokers for field activities
Communicate with brokers on billings and payment invoicing
Communicate with Land owners (taking inquiry calls) and assist in resolving questions or problems
Communicate with Title Attorneys regarding Title opinions, curative and status of work
Assist with data room logistics, document control, and the acquisition and divestiture process to acqui! re or divest assets, as needed
Prepare presentation materi! als, maps, and other land products with drafting
Responsible for special projects and other administrative duties as needed for the Land department
Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma
College Degree is a plus
Minimum 3 years of relevant Oil & Gas industry experience working with Landmen or Land Administration personnel
Knowledge of core Land oriented Oil & Gas agreements (Oil & Gas Lease, Joint Operating Agreements, Rights-of-Way, etc.)
Awareness of core Land oriented products or documents such as Title Opinions, Title Curative Documents, Lease Purchase Reports, Contract Summaries, etc.
Strong organization skills
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
