Position Description
McKesson’s well regarded Corporate Legal Department is seeking an experienced healthcare transactional and regulatory attorney to support RxCrossroads, a business unit of McKesson Specialty Health focused on supporting manufacturer-sponsored brand-support programs that promote better health through improved access to specialized pharmaceutical therapies. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements, amendments and related documents; interacting with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, I.T., and account management functions and representing their needs and concerns when negotiating with the legal and contracting functions of clients and vendors, all with minimal oversight from supervising attorney. The successful attorney in this role will manage a diverse scope of contracting issues, requiring identification and evaluation of many business and legal issues simultaneously.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
6+ years active legal practice in law firm or in-house environment;
Critical Skills
  • Significant experience personally reviewing, revising, drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts;
  • Preferred experience emphasis on healthcare transactional and regulatory matters (in-hous e experience preferred).
  • Experience managing high-stakes negotiations and compromises with other sophisticated attorneys, within established guidelines and with minimal oversight from supervising attorney;
  • Experience with regulatory issue spotting, research, analysis, and risk mitigation in a highly regulated healthcare environment;
  • Strong background knowledge of healthcare industry regulation, including information privacy and security laws and federal and state anti-kickback laws;
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills and ability to provide sound, clear and succinct legal advice and analysis to legal leadership and business teams;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills at all levels of an organization, including delivering complex information to both legal colleagues and non-legal business leaders;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to competing business demands in a pragmatic , diplomatic, and capable fashion;
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration and communication among internal departments (e.g., Compliance, Privacy, Risk Management, Finance, Technical Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and other legal and non-legal subject matter experts).
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience strongly preferred
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and honesty
  • Confront conflicts directly and respectfully
  • Value and respect the other members of McKesson and customers
  • Exceptional comfort with and mastery of modern office technology, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) SharePoint, OneDrive, web-based applications such as WebEx, remote access systems, contract- and document-management systems such as NetDocs or SalesForce are helpful.
Education:
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school; Admitted to Arizona Bar or immediately eligible for either in-house counsel registration or admission on motion in accordance with Arizona rules.
