Description: GCC Consulting is currently seeking to employ Bank Attorney right now, this position will be delegated in Texas. The candidate provides legal advice and services specific banking requests of a moderately complex to complex nature to various internal clients. Applies detailed knowledge regarding relevant business, industry, and banking specialties. Handles a variety of moderately complex to complex legal banking assignments and projects. Conducts legal research and provides legal services. May assist more senior attorneys in highly complex legal services. Provides practical problem-solving on moderately complex to complex legal issues for various internal clients. Handles moderately complex to complex negotiations, drafting, and document creation. Ensures legal standards are communicated and understood across all channels, whether directly within the Bank or through a non-bank business uint conducting business on the Bank's behalf. Continually networks and maintains a trusting relationship with all departments resulting in the General Counsel organization viewed as a strategic liaison in all facets of the business unit's goals and objectives. Keeps abreast of any changes in government regulations and notifies and advises appropriate organization leadership of such changes.
The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Should be licensed and in good standing in a State Bar association with ability to become member of the State Bar of Texas. Must have 5+ years of legal experience. Should have strong knowledge of federal and state laws impacting mortgage and home equity lending. Expert knowledge of mortgage and home equity federal and state regulatory requirements, federal and state servicing requirements and secondary market legal issues is preferred.
