The job is for 20-30 hours a week with flexible hours. Pay is $10 / hour. If the salary is not enough, please still apply but include your salary requirements. After a few months we can possibly revisit that number and also discuss additional incentives like paid holidays, sick days, etc.
We have two children, a lovely little 2 1/2-year-old girl and an 11-month-old little boy. We also have two large dogs in the house, friendly weimaraners. We're interested in someone that's a fun and loving nurturer and helps them learn, not just someone that plops them in front of the TV. We're looking for someone that's loving, safe, energetic, willing to make them lunch, take them outside, perhaps on a walk or the neighborhood playground, non-smoker, can pass a descent background check, drug and infectious disease free, prompt and reliable, and can drive them to the doctors office in an emergency. Please also be legal to work here.

Oh - a little bit more. I am a self-employed attorney. I have an office at home, so I will be available to help you with things if you're getting overwhelmed. I also have an office a few miles away that I will be using to meet clients, do work when I need quiet, etc. Help should never be too far for you though.
My husband works as a pilot. Some days he is home and some he is not. If you need a day off and he happens to be here, we're fine with that. But we won't call you off work because he happens to be home; that isn't fair to you.
There is one caveat to the flexible hours, though. As a lawyer, I must have help when I have hearings, court dates, mediations, etc. On those days (usually a few times per month), we are willing to work with you on logistics (e.g., need to bring your own child to the house) but we must have your help.
