SUMMARY
Supervises a group of Commercial Loan Specialists with responsibility for the p! rocessing, boarding, funding and account maintenance of commercial loan products in compliance with state and federal regulations, and ViewPoint Bank policies and procedures. Ensures complete and compliant documentation is completed for all commercial loans prepared using LaserPro software or by outside counsel. Assists management with creating processes, procedures, and reports to ensure the daily work is accomplished efficiently, and that best practices are followed. Hires, trains, coaches and mentors Commercial Loan Specialists under the direction of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises, trains, coaches, motivates and promotes teamwork among a staff of Commercial Loan Specialists
Completes annual performance reviews in a timely manner
Monitors and/or directs daily workflow activity and oversees employee scheduling to ensure service guarantee commitments to Corporate Banking and Business Banking are met
Follo! ws all compliance policies and procedures, and ensures that st! aff is trained and adheres to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures
Handles escalated complaints and provides problem resolution
Ensures all underwriting loan stipulations on the Loan Approval and Credit Memorandum have been met. This includes, but is not limited to, collateral value restrictions, loan covenants, and any other requirements or loan conditions
Ensures Specialists select the correct loan product in LaserPro software and that the appropriate LaserPro selections are made within each transaction to ensure an accurate Promissory Note, Security Agreement, Loan Agreement and all other loan documents necessary to complete the doc set
Provides expert advice to Specialists and Lenders regarding loan documentation and utilization of LaserPro and LawyerPro software
Works directly with senior lenders and attorneys to ensure complex loans are handled correctly
Ensures Specialists select the correct loan product and collateral codes for! the host, and that loans are booked accurately
Ensures loans fund accurately and that financial transactions balance each day
Ensures documentation errors are corrected in a timely manner with least disruption to the borrower
Assists management with internal and external audits and exams
Assists with the testing of loan systems during system upgrades
Proactively improves processes, and workflows
Monitors various internal processes, procedures, reports, and queues to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, OCC rules and regulations, state and federal laws and regulations governing responsibility area of lending and completes all required compliance training annually
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate or Bachelor degree is strongly preferred or combination of equivalent education and banking experience.
A minimum 8 years loan document preparation, closing, and processing experience is required as described in! the above duties including experience in at least two key lending area! s such as C&I, Commercial Real Estate, Entrepreneurial, Middle Market, Energy, Business Banking, etc. Supervisory experience required.
