¿Underwriting new and renewal accounts, new business revenue production, servicing clients, marketing with brokers, managing broker and client relationships.
¿The successful candidate will be a self! motivated professional that will underwrite, manage and grow an insurance book of business that is primarily focused on pollution liability.
¿Preferably the candidate will have extensive experience in the environmental industry.
¿The successful candidate will need a deep working knowledge of environmental and/or construction professional insurance products, underwriting guidelines and the application of insurance products in all industries, and underwrites profitable book of new and existing accounts.
¿This role will include the opportunity to cross market XL products to brokers while developing relationships and develop new business with brokers and customers and promoting the XL image within the insurance, environmental and construction industries. Travel will be required throughout a multi-state marketing region to meet with clients, prospects and insurance brokers.
¿This Senior Underwriter role will include mentoring less experience underwriters in ! both the technical and sales aspects of underwriting to help t! hem develop their skills as competent environmental underwriters.
¿ This underwriter will have high visibility in the environmental marketplace and will be a resource to other underwriters in the unit.

¿ The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of sound business acumen combined with strong analytical and customer management skills.
Qualifications
Candidate should have excellent communication skills, have the ability to be detailed oriented and flexible in a fast paced environment, manage multiple projects and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, and clients.
The candidate also must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effecti! ve working relationships with clients, attorneys, insurance brokers and co-workers.
Five or more years of Environmental Underwriting Experience
Education
Bachelors degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or other natural science preferred but not required
Minimum Experience
The successful candidate for this position is likely to have a minimum of years of experience.
