Come join this diversified energy company seeking a part-time attorney for a permanent position assisting the Chief Compliance Officer. Specifically, this attorney will have the chance to assist with developing, implementing and monitoring the Company’s compliance program to ensure adherence to applicable laws in the U.S. and other countries where the Company does business, including risk assessments; ensuring overall compliance program objectives and goals are understood and! implemented through effective communication and regular train! ing; overseeing activities related to maintaining and adhering to compliance policy and procedures, including coordinating all internal and external audits and examinations with management, auditors and examiners and conducting required due diligence; maintaining the compliance reporting mechanism and responding to reports of potential compliance violations, including coordinating internal investigations and developing appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions; developing all materials required to implement relevant policies and procedures and to track adherence; and maintaining awareness of any changes to applicable rules, regulations and policies, communicate those changes effectively, and update training and other compliance materials accordingly. Qualified candidates will have at least three years of legal experience as well as strong academic credentials and experience with a good law firm or in-house legal department.
