General Information:
The Discovery Analyst will work closely with the Discovery Manager, Legal, Regulatory Internal Audit and HR teams to gather and organize information across the organization related to legal, regulatory and other internal matters. Qualified candidates will have experience in electronic information management and litigation/discovery support.

- Liaise between internal and external teams to plan, organize and manage multiple discovery-related projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner, utilizing appropriate technology options for the identification, collection and management of information and data as it related to le! gal and regulatory matters;
- Collect, process and trou! bleshoot issues pertaining to electronic data from various enterprise sources;
- Work with paralegals to create, maintain and troubleshoot document databases;
- Prepare documents for production to industry standards, including exporting from discovery solution and load file creation;
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of all aspects of discovery projects relating to collection tracking, technical specifications, systems data maps and chain of custody;
- Manage and participate in third-party document review projects (i.e., outside counsel, third-party vendor, etc.);
- Provide insight and suggestions to improve discovery processes;
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned;
- Provide support, testing and validation during discovery system upgrades;
- Other tasks as required.
- Responsible for overseeing the leg! al hold process and technology, serving as the point of contact for other roles in the legal hold process (e.g., Attorneys, Paralegals, IS staff);
- Support the legal team in issuing legal holds, including monitoring notices, managing custodians and sending reminders via the automated legal hold system;
- Ensure TransCanada specific information is updated regularly in automated legal hold system (Outlook email addresses, leader information, etc.);
- Schedule and present user training in automated legal hold system as needed;
- Provide technical support for automated legal hold system, including liaison with vendor representatives;
- Participate in related projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Provide technical and administrative support for the Matter Management system. This includes development of key reports, metrics and analyses that are required to manage the discovery process.
! Education and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or equivalent, relevant work experience;
- Minimum 3 years' experience in technical litigation support and all phases of the eDiscovery processes with an emphasis on identification, preservation and collection procedures.
- Experience with Recommind (or other Tier 1 eDiscovery application), and Legal Hold Pro (or other automated legal hold system) a plus;
- Litigation experience required.
- Depending on the qualifications of the applicants, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or ladder.
